Il Progetto – About the Project

L’obiettivo generale è favorire il networking tra organizzazioni europee senza scopo di lucro, educatori e operatori sviluppare strategie e azioni volte a promuovere l’integrazione degli adulti stranieri attraverso l’arte e la cultura.
Obiettivi specifici

• accrescere le competenze e gli strumenti a disposizione di educatori e assistenti sociali;
• creare un quadro di linee guida e strumenti comuni tra le associazioni e le organizzazioni senza scopo di lucro.

Il progetto comprende:

• due eventi dedicati al personale delle associazioni coinvolte nel coordinamento della gestione del
  progettare e condividere le migliori pratiche e strategie attuabili;
• un laboratorio di formazione per educatori e personale no profit finalizzato all’acquisizione di competenze e all’individuazione di strategie per l’arte e la cultura al servizio dell’integrazione;
• la creazione di un sito web con sondaggi di stranieri e opere d’arte realizzate da adulti stranieri e migranti.

Risultato principale

• incremento di strumenti e metodi a favore di organizzazioni non profit, operatori ed educatori per la realizzazione di programmi dedicati all’integrazione dei migranti e degli adulti stranieri attraverso l’arte e la cultura.
• la creazione di un documento guida a disposizione delle organizzazioni senza scopo di lucro,
• creazione di un sito web di progetto per lo storytelling positivo in termini di cultura e inclusione sociale degli stranieri adulti.

The general objective is to foster networking between European non-profit organizations, educators, and operators to develop strategies and actions aimed at promoting the integration of foreign adults through art and culture.
Specific objectives

• increase the skills and tools available to educators and social workers;
• create a framework of guidelines and common tools between associations and non-profit organizations.

The project includes:

• two events dedicated to the staff of the associations involved to coordinate the management of the project and share best practices and actionable strategies;
• a training workshop for educators and non-profit staff aimed at acquiring skills and identifying strategies for art and culture at the service of integration;
• the creation of a website with surveys of foreigners and works of art created by foreign and migrant adults

Main result

• increase of tools and methods in favor of non-profit organizations, operators, and educators for the realization of programs dedicated to the integration of migrants and foreign adults through art and culture.
• the creation of a guideline document available to non-profit organizations,
• creation of a project website for positive storytelling in terms of culture and social inclusion of adult foreigners.
  

Chi Siamo – Who we are

IDEA EUROPA promotes peace, social and economic justice, equality and the guarantee of citizenship rights, democracy and participation from below, social inclusion, and intercultural dialogue. Idea Europa practices and promotes processes of social change at local, national, and international levels through advocacy activities, political-cultural animation, communication, non-formal education, training and research, information and awareness campaigns, and networking. International mobility and volunteering, youth policies, migration and the fight against racism, analysis of public budget, economic and social policies, sustainable development, and fight against inequalities, are at the heart of his social commitment.

L’Associazione IIC è un’organizzazione fondata da persone interessate a rafforzare la società civile in Bulgaria. L’organizzazione lavora per rafforzare la partecipazione attiva della comunità locale alla governance locale e al processo decisionale con l’obiettivo di migliorare lo sviluppo sociale ed economico del Paese. Pone un’attenzione particolare sullo sviluppo di progetti di istruzione e cultura, promozione dell’istruzione non formale e informale, imprenditorialità e forme alternative di turismo, ecc. I membri dell’IIC hanno esperienza e competenza nello sviluppo, attuazione e monitoraggio bilaterale e multilaterale progetti finanziati da donatori nazionali ed esteri. Hanno lavorato nel campo dello sviluppo della comunità, dello sviluppo sociale ed economico, della valutazione dei bisogni e della progettazione di programmi a favore dello sviluppo della comunità e dei giovani. L’associazione è attivamente coinvolta in molte reti formali e non formali. L’associazione è a capo della rete nazionale Anna Lindh Bulgaria.

Association IIC is an organization founded by persons concerned with strengthening the civil society in Bulgaria. The organization works to enhance the active participation of the local community in the local governance and the decision-making process with the purpose to improve the social and economic development of the country. It puts a special focus on the development of education and culture projects, promotion of non-formal and informal education, entrepreneurship and alternative forms of tourism, etc. The members of IIC have experience and expertise in developing, implementing, and monitoring bilateral and multilateral projects financed by national and foreign donors. They have worked in the field of community development, social and economic development, needs assessments, and the design of programs in favor of community and youth development. The association is actively involved in many formal and non-formal networks. The association is a Head of National Network Anna Lindh Bulgaria.

KICK-OFF MEETING – ROMA, ITALY

10 Aprile 2022

Domenica 10 Aprile si è svolto il primo incontro del progetto Multiculturality ospitato da Idea Europa, Partner Leader del progetto. Un evento importante per conoscere dal vivo i 10 rappresentanti – 2 per ogni ONG – che seguiranno il progetto e le singole associazioni. E’ stata una giornata intensa è molto produttiva. Si è discusso sui dettagli relativi all’attuazione del progetto e insieme si sono chiariti dubbi e perplessità decidendo così i passi da intraprendere per le attività successive.

Inoltre, è stata svolta un’attività di workshop che ha messo subito in azione i partner nel sviluppare il questionario che sarà rivolto ad immigrati e stranieri residenti nei Paesi dei partner, necessario per sviluppare le attività di workshop transnazionale.

Lo sviluppo di tale attività è stata realizzata utilizzando gli strumenti della metodologia non formale. Inizialmente, abbiamo formato gruppetti da due persone. Ogni gruppo doveva individuare domade specifiche e altri dettagli da inserire nel questionario. Successivamente, ogni coppia si è unita con un’altra coppia, formando due gruppi da 4 partecipanti ognuno attraverso i quali hanno unito, cancellato e approfondito le singole idee sviluppate precedentemente. L’attività è terminata con un dibatto in plenaria con lo scopo di creare un unico e solo questionario online, che sarà tradotto da remoto nelle varie lingue del progetto.

Al termine del kick-off meeting siamo usciti con una bozza del questionario online e azioni di disseminazione.

The first meeting of the Multicultural project took place on Sunday 10 April, hosting idea Europa, the Lead Partner of the project. An important event is to get to know the 10 representatives – 2 for each NGO – who will follow the project and the individual associations. It was a busy day and very productive. We discussed the details relating to the implementation of the project and together doubts and perplexities were clarified, thus deciding the steps to be taken for the subsequent activities.

Furthermore, a workshop activity was carried out which immediately put the partners into action in developing the questionnaire which will be addressed to immigrants and foreigners residing in the partner countries.

The development of this activity was carried out using the tools of the non-formal methodology. Initially, we formed small groups of two. Each group had to identify specific questions and other details to include in the questionnaire. Subsequently, each couple joined with another couple, forming two groups of 4 participants each through which they joined, deleted, and deepened the single ideas developed previously. The activity ended with a debate in plenary in order to create a single and only online questionnaire, which will be translated remotely into the various languages of the project.

At the end of the kick-off meeting, we got a draft of the online questionnaire and dissemination actions.

Workshop del Progetto Multiculturality
ROME 11/12 NOVEMBER 2022

In data 11-12 Novembre 2022 si è tenuto a Roma il workshop del Progetto Multiculturality. Hanno partecipato 5 partecipanti per nazionalità e sono state due giornate intense fatti confronto e lavoro di apprendimento utilizzando l’arte come mezzo di inclusione degli adulti stranieri. 

In queste giornate sono state implementate attività di conoscenza al fine di creare un gruppo coeso, attività di gruppo nazionale e misto incrementando le competenze trasversali dei partecipanti, attività di brainstoriming e dibattiti sul concetto di Culturale idendificando, come un iceber, ciò che si vede all’esterno e ciò che non si vede. Successivamente siamo passati ad un percorso di scambio di buone pratiche prendendo come esempio progetti ove l’arte è stato al centro della tematica ai fini dell’inclusione di qualsiasi target (trovate maggiori info nel booklet). Infine, abbiamo parlato di Arte in generale e individuato tutte gli strumenti artistici da poter attuare dalla Land Art all’arte digitale. 

Il giorno successivo i partecipanti hanno iniziato a lavorare sullo sviluppo di idee progettuali ove potrebbe essere possibile utilizzare una delle metodologie artistiche individuate ai fini dell’inclusione e della partecipazione degli adulti stranieri nella società ospitante. 

Questo percorso ha stimolato nei partecipanti tanta creatività e volontà di continuare a lavorare su questa linea.

“The Multiculturality Project Workshop has been held in Rome on 11-12 November 2022. 5 participants by nationality took part and it was two intense days of comparison and learning work using art as a means of the inclusion of foreign adults.
These days knowledge activities have been implemented to create a cohesive group, national and mixed group activities increasing the transversal skills of the participants, brainstorming activities, and debates on the concept of Cultural identifying. Subsequently, we moved on to talk about an exchange of good practices as an example project where art was at the center to include any target to contribute to resolving some issue (find more info in the booklet). Finally, we talked about Art in general and identified all the artistic tools that can be implemented from Land Art to digital art.
The day next the participants started working on the development of project ideas where it could be possible to use one of the art methodologies identified for the inclusion and participation of foreign adults in the host society.
This path has stimulated a lot of creativity in the participants and the will to continue working on this line.”

RESULT

“Art work Competishion”

Successivamente al workshop tenutosi a Roma e realizzato il manuale di come utilizzare l’arte come mezzo di inclusion, ogni partner ha organizzato un “Art work Competishion” dove artisti provenienti da diverse parti del mondo che vivono nei territori di riferimento delle associazioni hanno potuto partecipare con le loro opere artistiche. I partner hanno organizzato liberamente questa competizione artistica attraverso condivisione sui social o email nella loro community. Le opere d’arte selezionate dai partner esprimono maggiore passione, storia e inclusione.

1. Italy: Common Canva realizzato sotto la guida di Noralisa Speranza, Australiana ma immigrata in Italia in un piccolo paese del Cilento. La tela comune è stata realizzata insieme a 30 giovani provenienti da diverse parti d’europa durante uno scambio giovanile. La tela comune vuole rappresentare l’identità di un’area rurale, rappresentando i visi caratteristici delle persone che la vivono e la memoria delle persone che hanno fatto la differenza nel paese anche se per breve periodo

2. Rep. Nord Macedonia: Fotografie di personaggi e ambientazione da tutto il mondo al fine di rappresentare le differenze culturali, tradizioni e ambientazioni. Ammirare quanto le differenze sia affascinanti in tutte le parti del mondo.

3. Bulgaria: l’artista proviene dall’Ucraina e si occupa di lavorare all’uncinetto. L’arte dell’artigianto è uno delle arti più antiche ad oggi affascinanti del mondo. L’artista riesce a ricreare pupazzetti per i bambini fino a creare fantastiche borse.4. Spagna: Johandry Santos, dell’Avana, Cuba. Lui è ballerino, coreografo, insegnante di salsa, bachata, cha cha cha, kizomba e animatore di eventi privati. L’artista ha una grande passione nel diffondere soprattutto i balli tradizionali di Cuba, ballati esattamente come si ballano nel suo paese. Infatti, nel video, Johandry balla un tradizionale “cha cha cha” cubano.5. Germania: Lukas è un musicista cauntautore, amante dei viaggi e della scoperta del mondo. Lukas proviene dalla Turchia e utilizza la musica come mezzo di espressione unendo la cultura turca, tedesca con la musica tecno/moderna.

After the workshop held in Rome and the manual on how to use art as a means of inclusion was created, each partner organized an “Artwork Competition” where artists from different parts of the world who live in the reference territories of the associations were able to participate with their artwork. The partners freely organized this artistic competition through social sharing or email in their community. The works of art selected by the partners express greater passion, history, and inclusion.1. Italy: Common Canva was created under the guidance of Noralisa Speranza, Australian but immigrated to Italy in a small town in Cilento. The joint canvas was created together with 30 young people from different parts of Europe during a youth exchange. The common canvas wants to represent the identity of a rural area, representing the characteristic faces of the people who live there and the memory of the people who have made a difference in the country, even if for a short time
2. Republic of North Macedonia: Photographs of characters and settings from all over the world to represent cultural differences, traditions, and settings. See how fascinating differences are in all parts of the world.3. Bulgaria: The artist is from Ukraine and is involved in crocheting. The art of craftsmanship is one of the oldest and most fascinating arts in the world today. The artist manages to recreate puppets for children to create fantastic bags.
4. Spain: Johandry Santos, from Havana, Cuba. He is a dancer, choreographer, teacher of salsa, bachata, cha cha cha, and kizomba, and host of private events. The artist has a great passion for spreading above all the traditional dances of Cuba, dancing exactly as they are danced in his country. Indeed, in the video, Johandry dances a traditional Cuban “cha cha cha”.5. Germany: Lukas is a singer-songwriter-musician, a lover of traveling and discovering the world. Lukas is from Turkey and uses music as a means of expression by mixing Turkish, and German culture with techno/modern music.

Closing Meeting

Il 3 Febbraio 2023 si è tenuto l’ultimo meeting transnazionale a Detmold, in Germania. Hanno partecipato 3 membri di ogni organizzazione che hanno seguito e gestito le attività. In quella sede abbiamo fatto un excursus di tutto il progetto dal Kick-off all’Art work competishion. Infatti ogni Partner ha esposto e presentato il proprio artwork selezionato. E’ stata una grande emozione scoprire i passaggi e le esperienza che questi artisti hanno vissuto. Successivamente, ogni gurppo nazionale ha compilato la sua programmazione da fare fino a fine progetto che riguardano le azioni disseminazione e follow-up al fine di promuovere i risultati ottenuti e individuare nuovi metodi di collaborazione utilizzando la medesima tematica. L’incontro è terminate con un final evaluation per esprimere le loro visioni nel complesso del progetto. Multiculturality è stato un progetto sentito da parte di tutti, abbiamo lavorato in sintonia con tutti i partner e le tempistiche sono state sempre ben rispettate. Abbiamo prodotto ottimi risultati, organizzato incontri di scambio di buone pratiche e competizioni artistiche includendo il target di progetto. Si può dire che è stato davvero un lavoro “artistico”. 

On 3 February 2023, the last transnational meeting was held in Detmold, Germany. 3 members of each organization participated and followed and managed the activities. There we made a recap of the whole project from the Kick-off to the Artwork competition. Each Partner exhibited and presented their selected artwork. It was a great emotion to discover the passages and experiences that these artists have lived. Subsequently, each national group compiled its planning to be done up to the end of the project concerning the dissemination and follow-up actions to promote the results obtained and identify new methods of collaboration using the same theme. The meeting ended with a final evaluation to express their views on the whole project. Multiculturality was a project felt by everyone, we worked in harmony with all the partners and the deadlines were always well respected. We have produced excellent results and organized good practice exchange meetings and artistic competitions including the project target. It can be said that it was truly an “artistic” work.
